Life
Dion Fortune (Violet Mary Firth, 1890–1946) was a British occult writer and founder of the Fraternity of the Inner Light. Books such as The Mystical Qabalah and Psychic Self-Defence circulated ceremonial and psychological vocabulary to a broad print audience. ORDL presents her as ceremonial literature—not as a grade syllabus. This page does not teach lodge work or psychic technique.
The system
- Qabalistic correspondences in accessible English prose
- Psychic hygiene rhetoric aimed at lay readers
- ORDL boundary: published books—no lodge how-to
Key works
- The Mystical Qabalah Amazon
- Psychic Self-Defence
- The Sea Priestess (fiction)

Where to start
- Read The Mystical Qabalah beside Regardie and Waite as reception, not as initiation
- Treat psychic-defence chapters as period advice literature, not medical guidance
