What we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may process: (a) consultation form fields you submit (name or handle if provided, reply email, question text, optional birth details and place); (b) Orin chat messages you send in a session, which are processed to generate replies and are not stored by us as conversation history on the server; (c) technical and security data such as IP address, approximate geolocation derived from IP (used to suggest a language), user agent, timestamps, and Cloudflare Turnstile verification results; (d) rate-limit counters keyed by network address (and similar) so we can limit abuse of Orin and the consultation form; (e) a language-preference cookie if you choose a language. We do not require an account to use the public site today, and we do not run live payments on this site.
How we use it
We use this information to: answer consultation requests; run Orin via Cloudflare Workers AI; prevent spam and abuse (Turnstile and rate limits); choose a sensible default language from IP geolocation when you have not set a preference; operate, secure, and improve the site; and contact you about a request you sent. We do not sell personal information. We do not use Orin chats to build advertising profiles.
Consultation materials
When you submit the consultation form, your message is emailed to the site owner through Resend, and a copy may be stored in Cloudflare KV so the owner can follow up. Turnstile must succeed before a submission is accepted. Treat anything you submit as confidential material you are trusting a human practitioner to read; do not include private credentials or details you would not put in an email.
Orin AI chat
Orin runs on Cloudflare Workers AI. Messages in a browser session are sent to our Worker and to the model to produce a reply. We do not keep a server-side archive of Orin conversations for the public chat; we keep short-lived session material needed for abuse protection (for example Turnstile session state) and rate-limit counters. Clearing the chat in your browser removes the local transcript. Model providers and infrastructure vendors process prompts as needed to generate output under their terms.
Cookies, language, and processors
We use a small language-preference cookie when you pick a language, and strictly necessary cookies or similar storage for Turnstile and rate limiting. Approximate country or locale may be inferred from your IP to suggest a language. Infrastructure is provided primarily by Cloudflare (Pages, Workers, Workers AI, KV, Turnstile). Transactional email for consultations is sent via Resend. Those processors act on our instructions to deliver the service.
Retention, rights, and contact
Consultation emails and KV copies are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and ordinary records, then deleted or archived with limited access. Rate-limit counters expire automatically. Browser language preference remains until you clear cookies or change language. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or to object to certain processing. To exercise a request or ask a privacy question, email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time.
ORDL accounts
- An account is optional. It stores your email address, when it was created, and only the extras you choose to add: saved birth details and, if you turn the setting on, your Orin conversations. We do not store passwords.
- Sign-in uses a one-time link and 6-digit code sent to your email (delivered by Resend). Codes expire after 15 minutes and work once. Cloudflare Turnstile checks sign-in requests for abuse, and the number of requests per network address and per email is limited.
- Signing in sets a strictly necessary session cookie (HttpOnly, Secure) for up to 30 days, plus a small cookie that only tells the page you are signed in. Only a hash of the session token is stored on our side. Signing out ends the session.
- Consultation requests sent from your verified email address are listed in your account with their status.
- Saving Orin conversations is off by default. When it is on, conversations you have while signed in are stored with your account until you delete them; you can delete them all at any time.
- Deleting your account permanently removes the account, saved details, saved conversations and the consultation records stored for your email address. Account data is stored with Cloudflare (D1 database).
