Pionier der humanistischen Astrologie: das Horoskop als Landkarte persönlicher Entwicklung.

Dieses Profil gibt es vorerst nur auf Englisch und Chinesisch.

Life

Born Daniel Chennevière in Paris, Rudhyar emigrated to the United States in 1916, worked as a composer and painter, and reinvented himself as an astrological writer. The Astrology of Personality (1936) shifted modern astrology from event prediction toward psychological growth, drawing on Jung and holistic philosophy. Later books such as The Pulse of Life and An Astrological Mandala developed cyclic and Sabian-symbol approaches. He is widely credited as a founder of humanistic (and later transpersonal) astrology in the English-speaking world.

The system

  • The natal chart as a mandala of personality potential, not a list of fated events.
  • Cycles and crises as opportunities for growth.
  • Integration of Jungian and holistic ideas into astrology.

Key works
